Texas Pharmacy Congress

Working Together for Texas Pharmacists

Policies and Procedures

The Congress will not take action on any particular matter without the unanimous consent of each Congress member present.  This consensus is obtained through the nodding of heads rather than an official vote.  Action taken on issues discussed at TPC meetings occurs mainly through the structures of the individual member organizations.

Each member organizations hosts the Congress meeting on a rotating basis.  The host may set the agenda for that meeting, and other member organizations are welcome to offer items for consideration on the agenda.

The Texas Pharmacy Congress has met approximately quarterly since its inception in August 1988.  The idea for the Congress originated at a planning retreat of selected University of Texas faculty and staff in early 1988.

Member organizations pay nominal dues to support general activities of the Texas Pharmacy Congress.
